Shri Thakur Prasad Memorial Scholarship
Shri Thakur Prasad (1925-1994) was a well-known political personality, thinker, philanthropist and a leading lawyer of the Patna High Court. He was among the first persons in the country to recognize the importance of private enterprise and to implement disinvestment in the 1970s. He was a social worker and always believed in the philosophy that all people are children of God and hence they should get equal opportunity to live together in harmony. He dedicated his entire life working for the downtrodden and was considered a living legend by those who knew him. He believed that people should retire from active political life by the age of 60 and so voluntarily renounced all political posts once he attained that age.In the loving memory of her father, Shri Thakur Prasad, Ms Anurradha Prasad has instituted this scholarship for the best performing students of ISOMES.
