PRIZES, STIPEND AND SCHOLARSHIPS
To reward excellence and promote healthy academic competition, various prizes are awarded.

1) Swami Vivekananda Memorial Prizes are awarded to the highest scorer in Part I & Part -II Examinations. This prize has been instituted by Ex. Prof. Bibhuti Bhusan De, Sr. Gr. Lecturer in Philosophy, from the interest of the fixed amount of Rs. 51,000/ - deposited by him.
2) Kanaklata Debi Memorial Prize and Late Sourendramohan Chottopadhyay Memorial Prizes have been instituted by Dr. Songata Chattopadhyay, Sr. Lecturer in Bengali, from the interest of a fixed deposit Rs.15,000/-for the highest scorer in Bengali Honours in Part I and part -II Examinations.
3) Cash Prize of Rs. 500/- each to the poor,
regular and meritorious students in each stream is awarded by the college authorities.
4) Another Cash Prize of Rs. 100/- each to three highest scorers in Part -I, Part-II & Part-Ill Examinations in three streams from the members of non-teaching staff.
5) Zindal Trust Scholarship.

8) Stipend for Physically Handicapped Students

History of Belda College
There is an off quoted saying in the locality of Belda. “Belda could not dream of a colleage without Kedarnath Das ”. The day 16th August in the year 1963 is conspicuous landmark amoung the people of Belda Through the untiring and selfless efforts of Kedarnath Das and N.G. Dutta, The then B.D.O. Narayangarh, Belda College was established on that day and Kedernath Das became the first founder Secretary of this institution.
