ALL INDIA POST GRADUATE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION UNDER 50% SEATS QUOTA IN MD/MS/DIPLOMA AND MDS COURSES IN MEDICAL & DENTAL COLLEGES

Applications are invited in the prescribed form through online mode for All India Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE-2012) to be conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Sunday, the 08th January, 2012 for admission under 50% seats quota in various Postgraduate (MD/MS/ Diploma & MDS) courses in Medical and Dental colleges in the country run by the Union of India, State Governments (except Government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K) and Municipal or other local authorities.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
(1) Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply
(2) The candidate must posses MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized Medical/Dental College or a foreign degree included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and full registration either from the Medical/Dental Council of India or State Medical/Dental Council after completing the compulsory rotating internship.
(3) Candidates who have obtained MBBS/BDS from Medical/Dental colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply. However, candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare/D.G.H.S., New Delhi) to do MBBS/BDS from Medical/Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply subject to submission of requisite documents specified in the Prospectus.
(4) The candidates should complete the required period of 12 months pre-registration internship from a recognized Hospital on or before 31st March, 2012.

The prospectus is available on the website aiimsexams.org and must be read by the applicants before applying. The cost of online Application-cum-Examination fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates).

Admit Cards to be hosted at : 28th December, 2011 (Through Net only not by post)
Entrance Examination : 08th January, 2012
Expected date of declaration of result* : 15th February, 2012
Allotment of seat by Personal Appearance :
23.02.2012 to 17.03.2012** Schedule and mode for counselling will be hosted on the Website of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
22.04.2012 onwards (2nd round)** Schedule and mode for 2 nd round of counselling will be hosted on Ministry's website only after completion of 1st round of Counselling.
Last date of admission : 15 days from the date of Personal Appearance or the time as mentioned in the allotment letter of the candidate

Application Fee : General/OBC Category: Rs.1000/- (SC/ST Category Rs. 800/-) + Transaction charges as applicable. Payment through computer generated Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). The candidates are required to bring AIIMS copy of Challan Form at the time of examination along with Admit Card and must hand over the AIIMS copy of Challan to the Invigilator, failing which their candidature will not be considered.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
(a) The candidate must be an Indian National.
(b) A candidate, who holds M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized medical college (Appendix-III) or a foreign medical degree included in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and who has obtained full registration either from the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils after completing compulsory rotating internship shall be eligible to take this examination.
(c) The candidates who have obtained their MBBS degree from the Medical Colleges which are not recognized by Medical Council of India shall not be eligible.
(d) However, a candidate who, after passing the final qualifying examination (MBBS or the foreign medical degree recognized by MCI), is undergoing 12-month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March, 2012 can take up this examination, but he/she shall not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship and obtained full registration on or before 31st March, 2012 or the candidate produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March, 2012.

The candidate appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the following documents in original along with an attested copy of the documents :-
(i) Admit Card issued by AIIMS.
(ii) Rank letter issued by AIIMS.
(iii) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
(iv) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.
(v) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the Internship by 31st March, 2012.
(vi) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.
(vii) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate in proof of date or birth.

Please let me know if there are MDS PG seats are there for the session starting from 2013 and if any, what will be last date for filling application form and date of entrance exam?
