IITM is committed to the success of its students. For some, the financial responsibilities of school fees can be an inhibiting factor in their pursuit of world class education. Scholarships may provide a solution to this situation.
On a limited basis, two types of scholarships are available to the students of IITM:
** Academic Excellence
** Financial need-based (assessed by committee members)

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
Eligibility Criteria:Applicant from EWS background
Scholarship:10% of Tuition Fees

Eligibility Criteria:Applicant from Rural background
Scholarship:10% of Tuition Fees

Eligibility Criteria :Applicant from with 60% or above in 12th /Diploma class
Scholarship :15% of Tuition Fees

Eligibility Criteria :Applicant from with 65% or above in 12th /Diploma class
Scholarship :20% of Tuition Fees

Eligibility Criteria :Applicant from with 75% or above in 12th /Diploma class
Scholarship :25% of Tuition Fees

Eligibility Criteria :Applicant from with 80% or above in 12th /Diploma class
Scholarship :30% of Tuition Fees

Scholarships are typically provided in the form of tuition waiver, certification reimbursement or purchase of academic material. A sample list of scholarships for the year 2011-12 :

** Highest academic percentages in CSE, IT, ECE, or EEE
** Student of the Year
** Debate Champion
** Athletic Excellence
** Volunteerism Award
** Leadership Award
