Established by the Government of Goa in 2004, as the nodal agency in the organization of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the main objective of the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) is to frame an entertainment policy to help cultivate Goa into a world-class international entertainment nerve center of the country.

Successfully hosting the 35th and 36th International Film Festival of India to a glare of media and fanfare, the objective of the Entertainment Society of Goa is to work towards building global visibility and branding. This goal ensures that the State earns revenue on a long term basis from ventures in film entertainment and leisure projects.

Spearheading this objective by hosting the International Film Festival of India, the Entertainment Society of India believes in making a concerted effort to build a year-round event calendar, encouraging joint co-productions with international brands in the field of cinema, marketing and branding Goa through ventures that focus on entertainment and its allied activities.

Biography of K.M.Taj-Biul Hasan :
K.M.Taj-Biul Hasan was born on 06 April 1965 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He holds B.Sc.(Hon's) and M.Sc. degrees in Zoology from the University of Dhaka. Due to lot of interest on Film and Photography, he adapts with this profession after completing his formal schooling in 1990. Subsequently, he got his Diploma in Photography (Dhaka-1988) & Film making (New Delhi, India 1992) and started his career as a Cinematographer.
Mr. Hasan joined Bangladesh Open University (BOU) as an Educational Program Producer and continued his service from October 10 1993 to April 01 2011. Within his 17 years of service in BOU, he produced 160 Televisions and 45 Radio programs. He also received professional training from BBC Open University (Cambridge), CENDIT (New Delhi), Deutsch Welle Television Training Centre (Berlin), NIMC (Dhaka) and NHK (Tokyo) on Television production making.
Mr. Hasan has vast experience on filmmaking. For far 04 fictions and 28 documentaries are made home and abroad by his direction since 2011. Some of his films got the international awards and appreciations. Mostly in 2007 and 2010 he was awarded by the most prestigious & highest prize on educational film making “The UNESCO Japan prize” for his two TV documentaries - ‘Education on the Boat–Hope for Tomorrow” and “The light of Life” respectively.
He presented papers and conducted workshops in various international conferences and seminars on Educational Broadcasting, Scriptwriting & e-learning. He has publications in the reputed international journals. He made several professional visits in many countries of Asia, Europe, and Africa. Mr. Hasan is interested on Environment, Archaeology, History and Indigenous culture.
