4) Their children can ensure their safety and security. (4 marks)

3. Your school literary club has decided to give a warm reception to the Jnanpeet Award winner Shri.ONV.Kurup. Being the secretary of the club, you are asked to draft a program notice including details like date, time, venue, dignitaries to be included for felicitation etc. (5 marks)
4. You read the story Irish Rose in which Rose had gone through a lot of hardships to sustain her family. You have decided to celebrate the Children’s Day by conducting a seminar on Child Labour. Prepare a write up on this topic.(maximum 120 words) (8 marks)

5. In ‘A Nice Citizen’ Abraham Lincoln expresses a parents views regarding an ideal teacher. Here is a poem by Umbarto Maturana, expressing the views of a student about his ideas and ideals. Write an appreciation of the poem in about 120 words.

10. In ‘The King Who Limped’ the new king tells ‘I am not the late king. I am the new king .as you will soon discover’….. How the inmates of the kingdom realized his true nature? (not more than 100 words) (7 marks)
11. Suppose your school Film society is going to take a short film on ‘The Middle Age’ by Kamala Das .For playing the role of the teenager you need an artist. Prepare an advertisement for the same. (5 marks)
12. Based on the panel discussion A Goldmine and Health Traditions.
a) Prepare a questionnaire to interview a traditional health practitioner. (4 questions and responses) (4 marks)
b) Write two slogans promoting Ayurveda. (2 marks)
