It’s a great opportunity for your school / college to participate in the regional event and thus strengthen the pool of talent for Neurosciences in India, which in the coming years can become a major contributing force globally, in the relative fields of Neurosciences. Looking at the success of our students in the past an excellent opportunity is at hand to make a mark in the realm of neurosciences by our Indian students.

Contest Rules
The Brain Bee is a quiz competition on neurosciences for students who have exceptional credentials in biology and have an interest to pursue careers in healthcare. This contest is conducted on a regional level and subsequently at national level in participating countries and culminated at the International level.The International Brain Bee (IBB) is founded and directed by Prof. Norbert Myslinski, University of Maryland.
The Brain Bee Quiz in India is a live question and answer competition about neuroscience for 11th grade (10+1,CBSC, ICSC) and Junior Inter, students with Biological Sciences. The best young brains in India are quizzed about the brain and how it relates to intelligence, memory, emotions, sensations, movements, stress, aging, sleep and brain disorders such as drug addiction, Alzheimer’s and stroke. The Brain Bee Quiz is an attempt to motivate our youth to learn about the brain, capture their imagination and inspire them to pursue careers in biomedical brain research.
Eligibility Criteria for the Chennai Regional Brain Bee
* Student of 1st year intermediate or 11th class(10+1) with
Biological Sciences
* Have excellent credentials in biology.
* Have interest to pursue a career in health sciences.
* Nominated by the Principal of the participant’s school or college
* Nomination must be received on or before the deadline
Recognition of Excellence
* The 1St, 2nd and 3rd positions of the Regional Brain Bee will receive a trophy and a certificate
* The Regional Brian Bee winner will be qualifie to attend 5th Indian National Brain Bee (INBB) Finals likely to be held in Bangalore in April, 2012
* The Teachers supporting the student would get an appreciation letter / certificate
* All of the participants will receive a participation certificate.
