Prerequisites for Applying Ration Card
1)The applicant should know the district, Taluk, city and the Ward number of the area where he/she is residing.

View your Ration Card Status

2)If the applicant has an electricity connection for his/her residence, the following information is required
a)The RR number available in the electricity bill.
b)The ESCOM location code (if belongs to Bangalore and Tumkur)
3)The mobile number of the applicant.

4)The date of birth/year of birth of the applicant.

5)If the applicant is single, the applicant has to provide his/her parent’s/family’s address in the application.

6)List of all the members to be included in the Ration Card.

7)The date of birth/year of birth of all the members.

8)If the applicant has an LPG connection, the following information is required:
a)The name of the company and the distributor of your LPG.
b)Your LPG Consumer number. c)Name of the person under whose name the LPG connection is registered.

9)If the applicant has had an old Ration Card, in that case the old Ration Card number must be provided in the application.

10)If your LPG Consumer number is not found in the database then immediately inform your LPG Distributor to get it added.

To get the list of centers for the photograph, goto the webpage http://164.100.80.172/rconline/Rpt_photoCenters.aspx and select your district, taluk and press "Go" button.
You will get a Taluk Wise Photo Centers Report.

The Rate fixed for Photography and Finger Print Biometric collection in the Photo center is Minimum Rs 20/ upto 4 members and Rs 5/- for each additional member.

consolidation of the State level data base of urban and rural beneficiaries,

Issue of Permanent Card in lieu of temporary Ration card issued.

automatically respond to the request by generating an acknowledgment. This facility will be available for the next 15days. If a beneficiary finds uploading data through the web-site inconvenient, then he/she may approach the nearest office of a deputy director of the department for assistance. I have got my ration card transferred from Mumbai and need to get it transferred to Bangalore. 4months back when i visited ration card office in Chamrajpeth, the officer told me that we need to do the procedure through ahara website, but that still is temporarily unavilable for ration cards.
