FILLING UP TWO POSTS OF SENIOR JOINT REGISTRAR OF TRADE MARKS & GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS ON DEPUTATION BASIS (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT).

Applications are invited in the prescribed proforma appended below for the post of Senior Joint Registrar of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications (Group “A” Gazetted) in the Pay Band PB–4 (Rs. 37,400 – 67,000) + Grade Pay Rs. 8,900 on deputation basis (including short term contract) likely to be posted at Mumbai, Delhi or Chennai with the following eligibility conditions from

Officers of the Central Government/State Governments/UTs/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Semi Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organizations:

ESSENTIAL :
(i) Degree in law of a recognized University.
(ii) Twelve years practice at a bar or twelve years experience in a State Judicial Service or in the legal department of a State Government or of the Central Government or in the processing of applications for registration filed under the Trade Marks Act / Geographical Indications Act or in teaching law in a recognized University/Institute. OR
(iii) Master’s degree in law of a recognized University with ten years experience in teaching law or in conducting research in law in a recognized University/Institution.

DESIRABLE : Ph. D. in Intellectual Property of a recognized university.

Age : The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (ISTC) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
