MBA Program in Power Management (2012-14) – XI Batch
(Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak)

Candidates desirous of joining the 2-Year full-time program MBA in Power Management of NPTI for the academic session 2012-14 have to necessarily appear for the CAT-2011 exam (for Non-sponsored category) being conducted by IIMs.

OBJECTIVE : This is a pioneering venture of two years duration to develop world-class Business Managers with a thorough understanding of Power Sector.

ELIGIBILITY : B.E. or equivalent (General - 60% Marks in aggregate of all Semesters, SC/ST- Min. Pass Marks)

SELECTION : CAT Score followed by GD and Interview at NPTI, Faridabad. SEBs, Utilities and Private Sector Organisations may also sponsor candidates. Sponsored candidates need not appear for CAT examination.

- Project Title - Major Project on TELEMETERING
- Team Size - 06
- Role - Team Leader, PCB layout designing and implimentation
- Description - In this particular project we implimented a common thought to make electric
Meters of houses & industries automatically centrallised controllable as to make
system easier & faster. Automatic reading, post-paid & pre-paid of billing,
connecting & disconnecting of electric meters are done from a centrallised
controllable unit.
Other Project :-
- Project Title - Minor Project on SUN TRACKING SYSTEM
- Team Size - 06
- Role - Team Leader, purchasing of all electrical & electronics equipments &
implimentation.
- Description - In this project we desired to use solar energy as an electrical energy by using
solar pannel, micro-controller and batteries for the storage of converted
electric energy.
Industrial Training :-
Organisation - IMP POWERS LTD. SILVASSA (D & NH)
Area Of Training - General Training as a subject of Power
Transformer process & progress of the plant.
Period Of Training - Three Weeks (21 Days)
Industrial Visit :-
Organisation - CENTRAL POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTE, BHOPAL
Description - CPRI is an organisation where testing of power transformers
is performed. Basically short circuit test of Power
Transformer is performed there. Many of the switch systems
are there which are used for performing several other tests on
power transformers such as Insulation Resistance test, 2kv
test & high surge short circuit test.
