Indian Air Force offers opportunities for unmarried male Indian citizens from the State of Sikkim and designated districts of State of West Bengal to become an airman. The Recruitment Test for Group „X? (Technical) trades will be held at Air Force Auditorium, Air Force Station Bagdogra from 17 January 2012 to 22 January 2012 as per the Selection Programme given below.

SELECTION PROGRAMME. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards every day as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

AGE LIMIT. : Candidate should be born between 01 January 1991 and 31 March 1995 (both days inclusive).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
For Group „X? (Technical) Trades. Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
Three years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.

DOMICILE REQUIREMENT. :
(a) To be eligible to appear in the rally at Air Force Auditorium Air Force Station Bagdogra (West Bengal) the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from the recognized Boards of the State of Sikkim or designated districts of State of West Bengal (as mentioned in Paragraph 2 above) OR should fulfill the domicile requirements as applicable to the State of Sikkim and the State of West Bengal (Domicile certificate issued by DM//SDM/Tehsildar or any other official authorised by the Government of the State of Sikkim and Domicile certificate issued by DM or any other official authorised by the State Government of West Bengal only will be accepted. If in Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination passing certificate, name of the district is not mentioned, candidate has to bring the original Domicile Certificate in which the District name is mentioned.
(b) Sons of Serving/Retired/Discharged/ Deceased Air Force Personnel, irrespective of their domicile status may be permitted to appear in the rally subject to submission of Son of Air Force Personnel Certificate as a proof in the following categories: - (i) Father/Mother is presently serving in any Air Force Unit located in the State of Sikkim or in the designated Districts (as mentioned in Paragraph 2 above) of the State of West Bengal (ii) Ex-IAF personnel/families of deceased personnel who are residing in the State of Sikkim or in the designated Districts of the State of West Bengal (on production of proof of minimum stay of one year and Original and one photostat copy of discharge book).
