* Seeking experienced analyst with exceptional client relationships skills to partner closely with our sales and marketing business leaders in support of their business objectives. The Market Development Advisor will:
• Drive MD mandate and initiatives to support IBM’s Technology Services Business in ISA
• Provide insights about opportunity and IBM’s performance in the market to enable benchmarking and drive improvements
• Identify trends and develop insights about marketplace, including solution areas, competition, and channels
• Strengthen market development efforts by identifying and prioritizing high potential opportunity areas, highlighting new and best routes-to-market, and empowering sellers and business partners through market insights

Market Development (MD) professionals help drive IBM actions by delivering trusted, integrated insights and recommendations that improve IBM performance and fuel growth.
In this role, the candidate will act as a trusted business advisor providing actionable recommendations based on market insights. The Market Development Advisor will provide timely and actionable thought leadership leveraging both internal and external business, financial, and market data to drive informed executive decision-making within our sales and marketing leaders across the globe.
Using consultative techniques, the Market Development Advisor will work directly with business leaders to identify root causes and recommend actions for the most pressing issues facing our business.

Successful candidates will be skilled at :
• Project Framing : the ability to clearly define the internal clients’ issue that leads to the appropriate project scope and planning.
• Understanding customer wants and needs : Ability to manipulate and integrate primary and secondary customer research, customer purchasing data, and internal IBM financial data
• Assessing the marketplace : Identifying emerging growth trends, opportunities and buying segments across various dimensions including: economic, technological, financial, cultural and other market segments, competitive, partnerships and alliances, and customer value attributes
• Evaluating IBM performance/execution gaps and developing actionable recommendations.

Desired Candidate Experience :
People with 8 to 10 yrs work experience in Market analysis/research and Consulting areas and business advisory experience. Deep understanding of technology services market and key players is highly desirable. Strong knowledge and experience in the IT market and competitive landscape preferably. Strong Communication skills, team management and organizational development skills.
Demonstrated experience in
• Consulting techniques, research, analysis, creation of intellectual capital based on market and competitive analysis.
• Assessment of information, dissemination and communication of insights to key decision-makers.
- Including strong knowledge and/or analysis of competitive landscape
- Market intelligence, Competitive intelligence, primary & secondary research
- Management consultancy/strategic consultancy/marketing
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Effective consultative skills for interacting with clients and solving problems
• Business acumen, verbal and written communication skills
• Leadership skills, ability to work as part of a team, and a high level of integrity.
• Consultative experience with internal or external clients (i.e., a strategic thinker, strong business acumen, and comfortable speaking with senior clients)
• Masters degree in business administration, marketing, market research
Candidate should be a critical thinker with strong business acumen who can evaluate client needs, lead projects independently, effectively communicate with executives, and balance numerous projects simultaneously.
