Market Analyst – Next Generation IT Practice
We are currently seeking a Market Analyst to support Everest Groups’ Next Generation IT Practice. The primary function of the Market Analyst will be to develop content that communicates Everest Group insights, perspectives and analysis on major market trends in Next Generation enterprise technologies, including cloud computing, mobility and next generation data centers. We will consider a range of relevant experience including industry research, academic research, consultancy, industry, finance and engineering. The ideal candidate should have three to five years of prior experience with a proven track-record of success. We are looking for candidates with relentless intellectual curiosity that are able to independently manage development of research content, and who excel at leveraging creative research sources to arrive at conclusions to complex issues.
Responsibilities:
Developing written thought leadership and research notes on specific Next Generation IT themes or topics
Generating innovative ideas for future research topics and themes
Conducting primary fundamental research
Building industry and company models
Collaborating with the Everest Group consulting and research team to syndicate insights
Presenting completed research studies to senior management and clients

Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics or financial analysis combined with 3+ years’ experience in data analysis and marketing analysis. MBA a plus.
Outstanding written communication skills and ability to author executive level thought leadership.
Excellent analytical thinking – ability to work well with numbers and analyze complex data.
Proven ability to interpret data and derive executive level insights
Familiarity with Next Generation IT technologies, including cloud computing, mobility and next generation data centers.
Expert at use and sourcing of research and analysis tools.
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent presentation skills.
Solid understanding of the enterprise IT industry.
