Qualification, eligibility and experience required for the post :-
Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory or Major Ports or public sector undertakings, Autonomous Bodies or Universities or Research Organisations :
(a) (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department ; or
(ii) With 5 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100+ Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- [Rs. 8000-275-13500 (pre-revised)] or equivalent in the parent cadre or department ; and
(iii) With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay 4600 [ Rs. 6500-200-10500 (pre-revised)] or equivalent; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience
(i) Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering of a recognised University or equivalent;
(ii) Five years experience in the field of :
a) Design, construction and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works including Harbour Engineering ; or
b) Maintenance and operation of different types cranes , diesel locos, marine engines, winches and auxillary machinery in a mechanical or marine workshop or organisation

Age : The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (Including Short-term Contract) shall not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
