Applications are invited in the prescribed form from talented and result-oriented Indian Nationals for 10 posts of Scientists (4 in PB-4 and 6 in PB-3) in the areas of Salt & Marine Chemicals, Wasteland Research, Public Relations, Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Science Dissemination in Hindi and Energy Research, respectively.

Post No. 1 : Discipline Coordinator - Salt & Marine Chemicals (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Job requirement : The job entails providing inspiring leadership to a team of researchers and technical staff engaged in both basic & innovative applied research, as well as technology development & extension activities in different aspects of salt and marine chemicals recovery and their applications. The candidate must be an accomplished researcher in the relevant area with ability to attract projects and possessing leadership qualities.

Post No. 2 : Discipline Coordinator - Wasteland Research (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Job requirement : The job entails providing inspiring leadership to a team of researchers and technical staff engaged in different aspects of research on plants and agriculture practices relevant to wasteland development. The candidate must be an accomplished researcher in this area with ability to attract projects and possessing leadership qualities.

Post No. 5 : Mechanical Engineer (Pay Band – 3 ) (Reserved for OBC)
Job requirement : The selected candidate will hold charge of the Workshop of the Institute comprising machine shop, electrical, refrigeration & air-conditioning and carpentry sections which contribute towards R&D and extension activities, and also attend to Institute infrastructure up gradation and maintenance jobs.

Post No. 8 : Scientist - Analytical Division (Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for SC).
Job Requirement : The selected candidate will be responsible for the supervision of a few state-of-the-art analytical instruments which role includes catering to internal and external analytical needs and undertaking independent research on new analytical methods.

PROJECT PROFILE
M.Tech- Research project : “EFFECT OF HYDROTROPES ON SOLUBILITY AND
MASS TRANSFER CO-EFFICIENT OF CURCUMIN”. Curcumin which is insoluble in water
and its solubility is increased using hydrotropy technique and preferred it is preferred in
pharmaceutical industry.
DIS- In house project : “FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS IN CHEMICAL AND PETROCHEMICAL
INDUSTRY”. In which main steps to be followed during fire fighting and
prevention techniques to be followed to safe guard the property, life and the good house keeping
methods were analyzed.
B.Tech-Industrial Project : “OIL RECOVERY FROM SLUDGE” in ONGC-Cauvery
Asset, Karaikal (GGS). A new technique has been employed in the sludge to increase the
production rate of the oil produced in the ONGC Cauvery asset.
