CSIR–Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), Durgapur, established in 1958 the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Autonomous Body under the Government of India desires to fill up the following Scientific / Technical positions.

Positions : Scientists / Sr. Scientist 15 Posts [UR-11, OBC-01, SC-02, ST-01]
Pay for Scientist : Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/-
Pay for Sr. Scientist : Pay Band PB-3 Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7,600/-
Age limit (As on 19.12.2011) : 32 yrs for Scientist / 37 yrs for Sr. Scientist
Minimum Educational Qualification :
For Scientist : ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engg./Industrial Metallurgy/Tribology and Surface Engg./Engineering Mechanics/Electrical Engg./Design of Mechanical Equipment/Manufacturing Science / Production Technology.
For Sr. Scientist : Ph.D in Organic / Inorganic Chemistry with 2 years relevant experience / Ph.D in Computer Science.

Positions : Sr. Technical Officer(1) 02 Posts [UR]
Age limit (As on 19.12.2011) : 35 yrs
Minimum Educational Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with two years of experience in relevant area.
