Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) - an autonomous Institute established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is looking for a self- driven, highly motivated, pro-active person capable of working independently and as part of team, for appointment as Purchase Officer. Applications are invited from interested candidates working in (a) large private sector organizations, and (b) Govt./autonomous/public sector undertakings/semi-govt. organizations. The remuneration package and tenure may vary based on the qualifications, experience and performance : (a) regular appointment in the pay scale of PB: 3 :Rs.15600-Rs.39100 with G.P. of Rs.5400,(TME of Rs. 44536/- ), (b) Contract appointment with a consolidated salary. For regular appointment, probation period will be 2 (two) years. Based on the candidate’s suitability, appointment may be offered either on regular basis or on contract basis.

Age Limit : Below 42 (Forty two) Years (Relaxation as per Rules) for regular appointments; for contract appointments no age limit.

Essential Qualification : Degree from a recognized University with 50% marks and familiarity in using computers.

Desirable Qualification :
1. Diploma in Materials Management.
2. Working online/networked environment

Experience :
1. Minimum 5 (Five) years experience in Purchase Department of any Reputed Organization/Large Industrial establishment . Candidates in private employment drawing less than Rs. 30,000/- per month need not apply.
2. Well versed in some or all of the following: Local, Foreign Purchases, Import & Export, Disposal, Management of Stores, Sourcing strategies, Tender Management process, Contracts, and preferably appropriate Govt of India rules and regulations, etc.,
