The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Authority, an autonomous body established by an Act of Parliament (PPV&FR Act, 2001), invites applications for filling up one post of Registrar in the pay scale of Rs. 37,400-67,000/- (PB-4)with Grade Pay Rs. 8700 equivalent to Central Civil Services Group “A” Gazetted, Technical, Non-Ministerial, from amongst Officers of the Central/State Govt./UT/State Agricultural Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Autonomous Organisations/Semi-Govt. organizations/PSUs.

Eligibility : The Officers holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/dept;

Essential :
1. Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science with specialization in Plant Breeding & Genetics, Biotechnology, Agricultural Botany/Seed Technology or other related subjects.
2. Total 15 years experience in the field of Agricultural Sciences or Seed Development activities, out of which, atleast 3 years experience is required in the field of Varietal Improvement /Intellectual Property Rights and should have worked for 3 years in the post carrying pay scale of Rs 15600-39100/- (PB-3) with grade of Rs. 7600/- or equivalent or have worked for 8 years in the pay scale of Rs 15600-39100/- (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs. 6600/-.

Desirable : Degree in Law and Post Graduate Certificate in IPR or Diploma in Management.

Age : The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall not exceed 56 years on the closing date of receipt of applications.
