This type of precision job was carried out with personal responsibility and interest by the undersigned during 183-84.
2 Coinage Could effectively repair the feed unit for Version Coinage machines and indigenise the parts thus saving foreign exchange for the company (Bombay Mint).
3 Design and development of coinage dies, punches a. For ferritic stainless steel coins the type of steel to be used for embossing equivalent to the DIN specification could be indigenously introduced with the type of resolution required.
b. Indigenized embossing machine parts like die holder and other mating parts of coinage machines.
c. Training was imparted for fabricating the same to the industrial staff.
In BRBNMPL
1 Indigenisation of lubes, spares and better maintenance methods could be introduced In liaison with IOC, BPCL, OKS, small & medium industries and government approved labs these works were effectively done.
2 Energy saving measures Introduced solar timers, solar heaters, automatic voltage regulators and other measures like optimizing of utilization of electricity for energy saving purposes.
3 Environs friendly measures Eco and bio friendly experiments are done to improve the disposal as per ISO-14001 requirements.
4 Responsible for ISO-9001 & ISO 14001 I was Management Representative for both QMS & EMS for 18 months and could effectively maintain the system. Have obtained Lead Auditor certificate as well.
5 Material Management Could reduce dependence on single sources and introduced Annual Rate Contract system for enhancing proper inventory levels and avoid stock out situations in Salboni and Mysore
6 As Factory Manager Able to achieve the desired quality production levels assigned by the management
7 As Head of Civil Many infrastructure requirements of the company are being undertaken like peripheral boundary road, Gate complex construction etc.
Self Assessment
Am a graduate of Regional Engineering College Calicut of 1973-77 batch who has got an opportunity to work in two projects of New Mint Noida and New Note Press at Mysore.
At both these projects the consultants were Mecon and hence aware of the modalities and procedures of project work.
In both these projects there was a township also to be constructed with
a) 50 quarters at the Noida Sector 1 for different categories of officers and
b) 1100 quarters for different categories of officers and staff at Mysore along with Water treatment plant and Sewage treatment plant with central and cluster parks as well as playing equipments in different clusters along with horticulture works.
Moreover the maintenance of these quarters, school, community centre, hospital, club, shopping complex and gardens along with central park with playing facilities are also being carried out at present in Mysore through annual contracts for which I am acting as head of civil section.
