NATIONAL REMOTE SENSING CENTRE

NRSC invites applications for the following positions on temporary basis to its ongoing national projects for a maximum period of three years from the eligible candidates :

1.Research Scientist : 01 (PB-3 `15600-39100 +GP `6600/-)
Discipline : Agro Meteorology/ Atmospheric Science
Essential Qualifications : Ph.D. (Agro-meteorology/ Atmospheric Science or its equivalent (OR) ME/M.Tech with two years/M.Sc. with four years of experience in the area of Agro-meteorology /Atmospheric Science or its equivalent
Desirable Qualification/Experience : Research experience in micro-meteorology /flux studies will be given preference.

2. Research Scientist : 10 (PB-3 `15600-39100 +GP `5400/-)
Discipline : Satellite Data Processing & GIS Analysis, Data collation and Database Design
Essential Qualifications : ME/M.Tech (OR) M.Sc. in Geology/ Environmental Science/ Geography /Forestry /Agriculture/Soils/ Geo- informatics /Remote Sensing or its equivalent.
Desirable Qualification/Experience : Experience in Satellite Data handling/analysis, Data Collection and Database Design for decentralized planning and natural resource management.

3. Research Scientist : 05 (PB-3 `15600-39100 +GP `5400/-)
Discipline : Software Development
Essential Qualifications : ME/M.Tech in CSE/Electronics/IT after BE/B.Tech(CSE/Electronics/IT (OR) M.Sc. in CS/Electronics/IT/ Applied Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/Geoinformatics.
Desirable Qualification/Experience : Web Application S/w development using Web Services/Programming in NET, C#, FLEX, AJAX, J2EE, Java Script, C&C++, etc. /Customized DSS development in Server GIS Environment/Data Base Programming. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience of developing web applications using ArcGIS server 10.1 and Adobe Flex.

Age Limit : 18-35 years as on 15.11.2011.

Candidates may visit our web-site at www.nrsc.gov.in to register their applications on-line between 20.10.2011 and 15.11.2011. Applications will be received on-line only. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be given in the application compulsorily.
The on-line application has to be invariably followed with a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer concerned, by those already in employment under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies, duly indicating the name and Reg. No. & post No. on the reverse of the NOC and the same may be sent to
