RECRUITMENT AGAINST SCOUTS & GUIDES QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2011-12

Applications are invited for recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2011-12 for 2 unreserved posts in Group ‘C’ Grade pay 1900/- (UR) categories. The eligible and willing candidates can apply on the prescribed format Annexure.-‘A’.

Scale of pay : ` 5200-20200+Grade Pay 1900/2.0

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
The candidate should have minimum qualification of matriculation or equivalent examination passed with 50 % aggregate or higher qualification from any recognized Board/University. The condition of 50% marks is not applicable for those with higher qualification.
Minimum Scouts & Guides Qualification :
The candidate should possess the following certificates in support of his/her Scouts & Guides qualification:
(A) President’s Scout/Guide/Ranger/Rover; OR Himalayan Wood Badge Holder OR a pre HWB trained Scout Leader/Advanced Trained Guide/Leader/Captain.
(B) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for at least 3 years in the recent past and should continue to be active. Atteted continuity certificate issued by District Commissioner/scout & Guide.
(C) Should have attended at least one event at National level and one or two events at State level OR should have a good record of participation in Scouts/Guides activities at Unit/District level.

Age : 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2012 ( Upper Age relaxation may be granted to the extend of 05 years to

CONDITIONS FOR RECRUITMENT :
Before applying candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility norms.
Before posting against any working post the candidate should have to pass the requisite medical examination prescribed for the post conducted by the Railway administration.
For posts where there is initial training is prescribed, he has to qualify the training before posting.
Selected candidates if posted as clerk cum typist have to acquire typing skill of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi within a period of 2 years. If they will not acquire the requisite typing skill within two years their services will be terminated without any notice.

EXAMINATION FEE (NON REFUNDABLE) :
(a) For GL/OBC candidates : ` 40/-
(b) For SC/ST candidates : NIL.

HOW TO APPLY :
Application shall be submitted on A-4 size quality white paper and should be in conformity with the format given in this notice. Candidates are advised to ensure that the application is legible, written in their own handwriting (English/Hindi) only one side of the paper, dated and signed. Use only international numerals (1, 2, 3, etc). The candidate must affix his/her normal (English/Hindi) signature in the application form at specified place.

Photograph :- One recent passport size photograph in Scouting/Guiding Uniform with clear front view of the candidate in normal attire without sunglasses/wigs (not older than one month of the date of notification) should be pasted on the application in the space provided and signed by the candidate on the top of the photograph. Two identical extra copies of the photograph to be firmly stitched to the application form with top initial & indicating candidate’s name on the reverse of each photograph.

Enclosures : The following enclosures should firmly be attached along with the application:-
1 Crossed IPO amounting of ` 40/- should be firmly tied/annexed on the top of the application form mentioning their numbers, date of issue etc. in the appropriate column in the application form Annexure ‘A’.
2 Attested Xerox copy copies of the certificates in support of Age, Caste, Educational and mark-sheets, Scouts & Guides qualification i.e. certificate in duly attested by a gazetted officer and should be enclosed along with the application form.
3 Attested copy of latest community certificate issued by competent authority on prescribed format in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates (as given in Annexure ‘B’ & ‘C’).

To whom apply :- The application complete in all respect along with all the enclosures duly attached should be sent in a cover addressed to the

Personnel Branch, ‘B’ Block, GM’s Office, Allahabad.
Application should be sent by ordinary post or dropped in box kept in this office for this purpose. Application sent by registered post/courier or speed post will not be acknowledged. The envelop containing the application should clearly be super-scribed “Application for Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2011-12”.

Last date for receipt of application : The closing date for the receipt of the application is 14.11.2011 up to 18.00 hrs Last date of submission of application for candidates residing abroad and in “Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands, will be 29.11.2011 up to 18.00 hrs. Applications received after closing date and time will not be entertained.
