Job Description
Mechanical Engineer with minimum five years of experience in detailed design and engineering of components and subassemblies. Experience in design of products for power industry, and ISO 9001 QA systems a plus. Experience leading a team of engineers a must. Excellent communication and leadership skills a must.
Desired Candidate Profile
â Lead a team of engineers to meet on-time engineering releases and assist new product designs
â Coordinate with engineering team in USA and other CCI locations on FK product design optimization
â Primary duty includes design of Fluid Kinetics products such as silencers, pulsation dampeners, desuperheaters, etc.
â Represent CCI in technical meetings with customers
â Assist implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 QA system
â Responsible for engineering and design of FK products
â Must do hand-on detailed engineering drawings for fabrication of FK products for specific projects and product optimization
â Must be able to review fabrication drawings and documents
â Assist product development efforts with FK engineering team in Ventura, CA from concept to fabrication
â Actively involved in internal process definition and optimization for continual improvement
â Review customer project specification and applicable codes
â Manage project correspondence with customers including technical discussions, and drawing releases.
â Communicate internally and with customers on ongoing projects.
â Support sales team on proposal engineering including customer visits and presentations.

Project work:-
The project training was done in HAL (KORAPUT DIVISION), Department of design for one month dated 25-03-08 to 23-04-08. The title of the project “DESIGN APPRECIATION OF TURBINE MODULE IN A GAS TURBINE ENGINE”.
Project details: -
This project on Aerofoil blade design and turbine is defined on the basis of T6 basic British profile of a single crystal blade as its prime aspect.
General parameters of turbine and its inlet and outlet parameters are discussed in brief, Common causes of failure of the assembly/material, case studies and its effects on the performance of the engine which is necessary in developing the first stage of blade design. General constructional aspects of a turbine in an AL31fp engine of Sukoi MK 30 I aircraft are also discussed.
Calculations of each Temperature profile & blade designing are intensely done. Calculating Tip, mean, root velocity by using velocity triangle method has concluded in satisfactory results.
Various methods of blade design such as ‘KUZMIN’ method, Lemniscate’s method & other Non-Conventional method are also given with suitable examples.
At last the procedure for development of Aerofoil section is drawn using auto-cad and 3D representation of the Aerofoil blade is drawn.
IMPLANT TRAINING:-
Implant training for four months was done in AIR INDIA LTD, which was from 28/8/07 to 27/11/07.
This training was divided into 3 groups. The details are as follows: -
COMPONENT OVERHAUL DIVISION: - 28/08/07 to 21/09/07
C.O.D division is the oldest division in AIR INDIA LTD. it contains four main departments, which are Structural group {SR Gr.}, Undercarriage group {UC Gr.}, System group & fan case. The main purpose of the department was to maintain and repair the whole aircraft structural part. As a trainee our job was to assist and support maintenance engineers as per the specification of their work.
MAJOR MAINTAINANCE DIVISION:- 21/09/07 to 27/10/07
The main purpose of major maintenance division is to remove and repair different types of aircraft structure from hangers and send it to various departments for dressing and repair work. It included various activities like cockpit cabin, engine down, wing inspection, landing gear etc.
It was divided into two main departments:
* Airbus ‘A’310-300:-
* Boeing: - ‘B’ 737,747,777
POWERPLANT OVERALL DIVISION: - 28/10/07 to 27/11/07
The main purpose of power plant overhaul division is to maintain and repair engines of various commercial aircraft. The division was divided into two main departments.
* Airbus 310-300 {CF680C2} Engine specialization
* BOEING ‘747’ P&W {PRATT & WITNEY} Engine
Trainees were only allowed to observe and study in the above division.
Training in CAD from Apollo technologies for four months.
