Applications are invited from Sportspersons, as per eligibility conditions stipulated below, in the prescribed format for recruitment to Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ posts against Sports Quota in Diesel Loco Modernisation Works (Indian Railways) Patiala – 147 003.

Trainee Technician Gr.-III (Mechanical Engg. Deptt.)
Group ‘C’
Kabaddi (National Style) Men - 04
Pay Band + Grade Pay - 5200-20200 + 1900
Minimum Educational Qualification : Course completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI Pass in Diesel Mechanic trade.

Group ‘D’
Cricket (Men) - 02
Pay Band + Grade Pay - 5200-20200 + 1800
Minimum Educational Qualification : Passed Matriculation (10th Pass) or ITI or equivalent. However, as a special case, outstanding sportspersons who are Class 8th passed can be considered for recruitment in (-) 1S Pay Band.

Age Limit : The age limit for recruitment is 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2012.

Processing Fee :
A crossed Indian Postal Order for 40/- (Rupees forty only) towards Processing Fee drawn in favour of FA & CAO, DMW/Patiala, payable at Patiala should be enclosed. No Processing Fee will be charged to the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

How to apply :
The application complete in all respects along with enclosures and two recent passport size photographs, one affixed at the top of the application on right side duly attested by a Gazetted Officer and one attached to the application and also photocopies of proof/ certificate of date of birth, educational qualification and achievements in sports events duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be sent by ordinary post addressed to Chief Personnel Officer, DMW/ Patiala – 147 003, so as to reach him on or before closing date. Applications received after closing date will not be considered under any circumstances. The envelope should be superscribed as :-
“Application for Group ‘C’/ Group ’D’ Post against Sports Quota in DMW”.
The application format should be in English or Hindi language only and should be filled in English or Hindi only.
Applications may also be dropped in the Box kept at the ‘Reception’ outside the Administrative Office on any working day between 09.30 hrs. to 17.00 hrs. on or before last date

Last date for the receipt of application : 31.10.2011

Enclosures :
The following enclosures should be firmly attached along with completed application form:
a) Attested copy of Certificate in proof of academic qualification.
b) Attested copy of Certificate in proof of age.
c) Attested copy of Certificates in proof of Sports qualifications/activities.
d) Attested copy of latest community certificate issued by competent authority if he belongs to SC/ST/OBC.
e) Crossed Indian Postal Order (s).
f) Extra passport size photograph.
