Aeronautical Society of India [AeSI] :
The Aeronautical of India was established in 1948 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 support and patronage of Pandit Javahar lal Nehru, who also became the Society's first patron-in chief. Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru at Puttana Chetty town hall, Bangalore on 27th of December 1948 formally inaugurated the Society. The course and examination is conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India, is recognized by Ministry of Education (Govt. of India). A pass in Sec.A & Sec.B examination by the society is equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. in Aeronautical Engineering for the purpose of recruitment to superior posts under State and Central Government.

To expose Aeronautical Engg. students to the latest technology and practical aspects of the Aviation Field, the Aeronautical Society of India itself arranges practical training at organizations like Indian Airlines, Air India, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. etc. at the centers like Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Hyderabad, Chennai & Other for a period of 4 to 6 months on 'no cost no payment basis' further society also sponsors bright students for on job training in reputed organization for one year. The institute has reputed Aviation training organizations to provide technical visit / practical training to the students.
