Applications are invited for the post of Financial Services Executive to work in various offices of the Corporation, under the jurisdiction of Western Zonal Office, Mumbai, on a contract basis for 3 years, as per details given below :

Qualification : The Applicant shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute. Preference may be given to those applicants who possess a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Marketing /Management. Good working knowledge of English and also one Regional language, preferably the local language, is desirable.Knowledge of soft skills such as Power Point / Word / Excel would be an additional advantage.
Age : The applicant shall have completed 21 years of age but not more than 35 years of age as on 01.09.2011.
HOW TO APPLY :
Candidates satisfying the conditions of eligibility as on 01.09.2011, shall submit their applications to the concerned Divisional Office of LIC of India , in the format given below which shall either be hand-written in bold capital letters or typewritten on foolscap size paper only. The Application should be properly signed and submitted with the following requirements :
1. Demand Draft of Rs 100/- towards application fees drawn in favour of LIC of India payable at the Divisional Head Quarter of the office where the application is submitted.
2. Attested Photocopy of Caste Certificate in respect of SC/ST candidates.
3. Attested Photocopy of Qualification Certificate and Age Proof.
4. Attested Photocopy of Discharge Certificate in respect of Ex-servicemen.
APPLICATION FEE (Non-Refundable) :
For all candidates (other than SC/ST category) the application fee is Rs 100/-. The Application Fee shall be paid by Demand Draft only (valid for six months), favouring “Life Insurance Corporation of India” and payable at the Divisional headquarters . Candidate’s name and date of birth should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
Last date for receipt of Application Forms together with the Demand Drafts and other requirements will be 12/10/2011.

Investment Alternatives in India and Indian Stock Option Pricing using Arbitrage Opportunity.
- The study focuses on various investment alternatives available in India and undertakes a detailed study of pricing of Equity and Index options in the Indian Stock Markets.
- The study involved understanding the mispricing in the stock market and eliminating it using arbitrage. Arbitrageurs eliminate mispricing in a market if a risk less profit opportunity exists. When presented with mispricing, an arbitrageurs buys the under priced asset and sells the overpriced assets.
- The main source of data collection has been the secondary data. The sample stocks used for the study were those stock listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Mumbai, India.
- The sample size was 11 stocks.
Summer Internship (4 weeks)
An Organization Study of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company
- The primary objective of the study is to assess the organizational performance, to study the functioning of various departments and to know the products of the company.
- The secondary function of the study is to sketch the organizational hierarchy and to provide suggestions and recommendations on the basis of findings.
Online Presentation of Circulars and Orders of MIER
- The project aimed at presenting the circulars, orders and other kinds of information for students/faculty on the web. Such information was so far displayed only on the notice boards.
- Additionally, maintaining and updating the records of such orders/notices in physical form is difficult. With this project, the information can be stored online and made accessible to every student/faculty, no matter how old the information is.
- The dynamic nature of the website also makes the maintenance and updation of the information easy.
- The project was implemented using ASP.NET as the front end and the SQL server as the back end.
