PROJECT DETAILS :
Title : “DEVELOPMENT OF WIRELESS DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR STRUCTURAL HEALTH
MONITORING [SHM] OF UAV/MAV”
Institute : ‘Indian Institute Of Science’ under the guidance of Prof. CRL Murthy
Description : SHM denotes a system with the ability to detect and interpret adverse changes in
a structure in order to improve reliability and reduce life-cycle costs. Piezo sensors
are well suited for on-line structural health monitoring applications. Experiment
was conducted with three sensors embedded in the wings of the Intellicraft to detect
the crack occurring in it then followed by a conditioning circuit comprising of
Amplifier IC LM358N. The amplified voltage was then transmitted to PC using CC1110
kit which is a Transceiver and the output is analyzed and processed using LABVIEW
code to obtain the magnitude of the crack occurred.
