    Applications are invited for the following temporary posts likely to continue

    (a) Professors-06 - Commerce – 01, Law-01, Sociology-01, Education-02 (SC-01 and UR-01), Political Science-01

    (b) Assistant Professors – 08 - Computer Science-01, Economics-01, Yoga-01, Education-02, Jyotish-01, MSW-01, Management – 01 (SC - re-advertised)

    on prescribed form obtainable from the University website – www.uou.ac.in . The minimum qualifications for each post will be as prescribed by the UGC. The candidates having been awarded the Ph.D. by 31-05-2009 shall also be eligible.

    The application complete in all respects alongwith self-attested copies of educational qualifications and other testimonials must reach the University latest by 7th October, 2011 through Speed/Registered Post along with application fee of Rs. 800/- in case of Un-reserved category and Rs.400/- for Scheduled Caste Candidates through Demand Draft payable at S.B.I. Kusumkhera, Haldwani in favour of Uttarakhand Open University. Name of the Post should clearly be mentioned on top of the envelope. Incomplete applications and those received after the last date shall not be accepted.

    Residents of Uttarakhand State will only be considered for the posts earmarked for Schedule Caste category.

    Note :
    1. For the post of Professor, applications may also be sent for deputation for which no fee is payable.
    2. No application will be entertained by hand.
    3. For getting the weightage for research papers/ publications, copies must be enclosed.
