Designation Lead - General Arrangements (HRSG)

Job Description
This position is to lead a group of engineers/draughtsman who are engaged in general arrangement, Pressure Parts Arrangement of HRSGs. The Individual shall possess Conceptual and basic knowledge of HRSG design & layout.

Functional requirement includes:
-Lead a team of designers, checkers and Engineers & PDMS Modelers
-Review the HRSG general arrangement in PDMS
-Review of HRSG GA & Pressure Part Arrangement & Piping/Component drawings

Desired Profile
-8-10 years of experience in HRSG Arrangement / Engineering
-Experience in HRSG arrangement down to the component level
-Extensive Software Knowledge includes experience in AutoCAD & PDMS, Solid Edge
-Knowledge of good drawing office practices
-Knowledge of National / International codes/standards/regulations
-Good team management skills

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily maintenance activities of 9 Boilers as primary and 6 boilers as secondary then GT and STG including DCS, PLCs and Emergency shutdown systems.
- Shutdown activities of boilers with planning of man and material and executing in given time period. Normally 3-4 days for full shutdown activity. Preparing pre and post shutdown report for each boiler.
- All jobs to be executed with full safety.
Leadership
- Led a team of technicians who were responsible for the job execution on field.
- Continuous updating their knowledge about systems and safety.
- Managing their time was an important aspect due to excessive work.
Analytical and Due Diligence
- Coming up with changes in technical systems. Changed the way Emergency Control System was used in the plant.
- Identifying critical instruments to make problem solving easier and uploading the details in portal for future managers.
- Identifying newer safety issues and coming up with non repetition plans and implementing them.

Economics of Gas based power plant in India.
This project aims to study the present scenario of gas availability in India and thus economics of setting up a gas based power plant in any part of country and the challenges faced by the sector.

ACHIEVEMENTS
- Successfully completed more than 30 shutdowns on time with no safety incidents.
- Implemented Mechanical Integration – Quality Assurance and identified all critical instruments (10,000) along with process loops to tackle emergency situation and subsequent documentation in KMS.
- Single handedly planned and executed the boiler burner system modifications for gas firing which led to the fuel flexibility in terms of gas and oil.
- Won Most Improved Presenter in Corporate Presentation Skills at Adani Management Development Centre.
