Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), an autonomous Institute established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, at Bangalore, invites application from suitable candidates for the following positions :

Engineer – C (Electrical) – 1 Post (Unreserved)
Qualification : B.E. / B. Tech. (First Class) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
Experience : Essential – Two to three years experience in maintenance of electrical systems (H.T. Sub-Station, Generator Sets and all electrical equipments) in a reputed organization.
Desirable : Experience in independently handling electrical works and Operation & Maintenance of UPS systems and other HT/LT installations.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-
Age limit : 28 years as on 1.1.2011

Engineer – C (System Administrator) – 1 Post (Unreserved)
Qualification : B.E. / B. Tech. in Computer Engineering / MCA with First Class from a recognized University.
Experience : Essential – Two to three years experience in Unix/Linux systems and Network Administration, web development using CMS (Drupal, Joomla) and in PHP frame works (Smarty, cake php etc). Configuring & Installation of DHCPD, SQUID, NAMED & VM servers.
Desirable : Familiarity with networking hardware and internet uplinks, Installation and up-gradation of Open Source and Commercial packages on servers and workstations.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 (Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-.
Age limit : 28 years (as on 1.1.2011)

Junior System Administrator – 1 Post (Unreserved)
Qualification :
Essential :
1. Graduate preferably B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA from recognized University.
2. Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Hardware & networking from reputed Institute.
Experience : Essential – Three to Four years experience in software and hardware, maintenance of Unix/Linux/ Mac based systems
Desirable : Experience in Network administration and installation of servers/ desktops, Maintenance of SBS etc.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200
Age limit : 28 years (as on 1.1.2011)
