    The purpose behind these investigations was to understand the influence of various stiffness couplings that arise when one uses FRP materials in aerospace structures, exemplified by typical box beam applications.     In our work lanthanum oxide (La203) have been used as the dopant or stabilizer to zirconia powder as a candidate for TBC.
    Powder preparation by Agate jar and wet ball milling is used to study the effect of stabilization of zirconia.
    The density and porosity of the compositions are determined and various characterization tests have been
    conducted such as XRD, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) analysis etc. to optimize and
    determine the dopant concentration for partial or full stabilization of zirconia which is suitable for thermal barrier coating.
