Description:
Electro-Motive Diesels is currently the world's second largest builder of railroad (railway) locomotives in terms of overall sales. The entire project is divided into 3 modules, DCR, DWO and Value Engg. In DCR (Design Change Request) we do changes in modeling according to the changes specified in the DCR. DWO (Design Work Order) is new model creation as specified in document. Value Engg is reverse Engg process is used for reducing the production cost and improves the efficiency of the product.

Locomotive Projects:
1. Design Work Order (DWO - Concept Generation)
2. Design Change Request (DCR - Design Support)

- Creation of Engine Components and its Accessories:

- Model, Assembly and Detailing of Engine Components like Oil pan Asm, Crankcase Asm, and Crankshaft Cam Shaft.
- Accessories like Air compressor, Equipment rack, Blower Hosing, Bearing Housing, Cab Structures and its accessories.

- Standardization of Crankcase Ass’y for 16-Cyl and 20-Cyl cylinders.

- Replacement Separate Crankcase for the application of EUI/MUI and Marine with common crankcase.
- Complete Modeling and Detailing for Crankcase Ass’y for both 16-Cyl & 20-Cyl.

- Creation of light weight model for Power train:

- Consist of under frame Engine, Alternator, Equipment rack and Air compressor.
- By Using Simplified Assembly Concept.

- Completed responsible for the project to be delivered with 100%FTR.
