MAIN PROJECT : Design and Development of Electronics for Quartz Tuning Fork Resonator
Quartz tuning fork resonators are very specific transducers used in many important precision sensors including accelerometers, temperature sensors etc. It gives the inherent advantage of obtaining direct digital output from these sensors.
The project primarily brings out the design of electronics for operating the ‘Double Ended Tuning Fork (DETF) resonators towards its application in Vibrating Beam Accelerometer (VBA). It describes the detailed design of Trans-impedance Crystal Controlled Oscillator with Automatic Level Control (ALC) circuit and output interface stage and its use in the form of Hybrid Micro Circuit (HMC) in VBA sensor.
MINI PROJECT : Pre paid Energy meter
Prepaid energy meter is the modified version of energy meter. It is a device which calculates and displays the units of power used during a period of time. Using prepaid energy meter the bill can be paid in advance.
A microcontroller based prepaid digital energy meter displays the number of units consumed and the balance amount digitally. By giving a particular code to each and every energy meter the service provider can access the energy meter from the centre itself. Hence with the energy meter the wear and tear associated with the analog energy meter can be completely eliminated and the system can be made prepaid.

EV-DO, officially known as IS-856, embodies a new air interface technology specifically designed for packet data and offer bandwidth efficiency for data traffic that is multiple times greater than current 3G standards such as W-CDMA or 1xRTT. Using different channel access methods like Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), it maximizes both individual user’s throughput and the overall system throughput.
