Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a statutory body under the administrative control of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India responsible for activities in the field of Standardization, Product and System Certification, Hallmarking of Gold/Silver Jewellery, Laboratory Testing etc., in the country, offers excellent career opportunities to bright, young, dynamic personnel & invites applications for recruitment to 115 post of SCIENTIST-‘B’ in the Pay Scale of Rs. 15600-39100+Grade Pay Rs.5400 plus allowances as applicable.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical/Metallurgy/Civil/Electrical./Electronics/ Food/Computer) or equivalent with not less than 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate.
AGE LIMIT : The candidates must be between 21-27 years of age as on 9th September 2011. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen etc.
APPLICATION FEE AND MODE OF REMITTANCE : The application fee is 750/- and is Non-Refundable. The payment of the fee shall be through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) mode only. For remittance of fee through electronic mode, candidates have to visit any Bank for depositing the fee through NEFT mode. Transaction charges of the Bank shall be borne by the candidates.
