Society for Promotion of Vocational & Technical Education (SOVTECH), Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Institute of Technology Campus, Port Blair, A & N Islands proposes to appoint Assistant Professors in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE), Mathematics, Physics and English purely on contract basis on a consolidated pay of ` 43,000/- per month for the courses offered at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon, Port Blair. The details, eligibility criteria and application format is as detailed below:

Essential :
BE / B.Tech and ME / M.Tech. in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in BE / B.Tech or ME / M.Tech.
Specialization in PG in following field is preferred
CSE : Image Processing / Artificial Intelligence
CE : Structure / Transportation / Geotech / Infrastructure Design & Management

Essential :
(a) Good Academic record with atleast 55% marks OR an equivalent CGPA at the master’s degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University OR an equivalent degree from Foreign University. Besides fulfilling the above qualification, candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC
OR
(b) Good Academic record with atleast 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA at the Master’s level and Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject.
Desirable :
5 years experience in teaching and or research excluding the period of spent for obtaining the degree and has made some mark in the area of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publication, contribution to the educational innovation, design of new courses & curricula.
OR
(c) First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch for teaching post in Humanities & Science with 4 years experience in teaching and or research, excluding the period spent for obtaining the degree and has made some mark in the area of research as evidenced by quality of publication, contribution to the educational innovation, design of new courses & curricula etc.

TITLE : FE analysis of thin square steel plates with a stationary through central edge crack perpendicular to axial compressive load.
Description : Determination of Buckling Strength and Ultimate Strength of the cracked plate with a stationary through central horizontal edge crack by using the ANSYS 11.0, And a square plate of 500mm edge crack with varied thickness of 5mm, 6mm and 8mm the Linear and Non-Linear FE analysis were found by varying the length of the crack as 50mm. 70mm, 100mm, 120mm and 150mm with a crack width of 1mm.
