Qualifications : Three years Graduate degree in required subject with 5 years experience or Three years Graduate Degree in relevant subject with diploma in the required subject from a recognized University/Institute with 3 years experience in a Govt. recognized Institute/Organisation.

Post : Technical Assistants (Bio-chemistry / Environment Science/Statistics / Life Science / Physiology
No. of Vacancies : Four
Pay scale : PB-2, Rs.9300- 34800 + GP of Rs. 4200.
Qualifications : Three years Graduate degree in Biochemistry/Environm ental Science/Physiology/Life Science/Stat. With 2 years experience or Three years degree in relevant subjects with two years diploma in subjects from the recognized Institute/University.

Pay scale : PB-1- Rs. 5200- 20200 + GP Rs. 2800

Permit me to introduce myself as S.Ramya, a microbiologist with 1 year experience. I graduated from Dhanabagyam Krishnaswamy Mudaliar(DKM) College (Thiruvalluvar University) with Masters in Applied microbiology.
I am proficient in microscopic examination, staining techniques, media preparation, bio-chemical test, Antibiotic sensitivity test, pure culture techniques, Animal inoculation, Routes of egg inoculation. I have quite rich knowledge in plasmid isolation, Agarose gel electrophoresis, ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) techniques.
My post graduate thesis was on the Study on Viral specific IgM and IgG antibodies in Women with abortive complication. The major causative agents studied were Rubella virus, Herpes Simplex virus and Cytomegalovirus. These agents act as an antigen that triggers the production of antibody. ELISA method was carried out to detect the viral specific antibodies from the samples collected in women with abortive complication.

Study on viral specific IgM and IgG antibodies in Women with abortive complication
- The task was on the study of causes for fetal damage and the implication of viruses like Rubella virus, Herpes Simplex virus and Cytomegalovirus on it.
- The serum samples were collected from women with abortive complication and normal reproductive cycle (control) was processed using ELISA technique, at Hindustan diagnostic centre, Vellore.
- The results showed higher percentage of seropositivity in women with abortive complication and the role of viruses on the damage.
- The study concludes that the samples can be further analyzed using other techniques for evaluation and
Comparison for an optimal solution.
