Location : Pune
Profile :
Represent the company in complex legal and compliance areas, directly reporting to the Board of Directors.
Responsible for all legal aspects of investment life cycle and regulatory compliance. This would include transaction related activities like term sheet finalization , overseeing the legal & financial due diligence process , finalizing share purchase agreement and compliance related activities like SEBI/ RBI reporting, interacting with the Trustee Company, etc.
Position will be responsible for all legal and compliance initiatives, polices and processes within the company.
Co-ordinate and negotiate company’s external legal and compliance needs, fund prospectus and investment related documentation with external counsels and advisors.
Qualifications :
A qualified lawyer or company secretary with previous legal and compliance experience in middle management, with 7-8 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of regulatory environment and legal framework affecting investment management industry in India and abroad.
Exposure to the capital market and financial institutions’ norms, banking and securities regulations is essential and experience in asset management industry will be a distinct advantage.
Experience in drafting, negotiating, reviewing and structuring contracts and agreements, searching and drafting legal briefs.
Passion for reading and analysis.
To enable the diversity and facilitate the multidisciplinary skill sets, Legal and Compliance Head shall be actively involved in similar initiatives of our portfolio companies thereby providing a stimulating work environment. This shall include sourcing and assisting patent search, drafting patent applications, forensic accounting etc.
Compensation :
Compensation offered would be extremely competitive and would not be a constraint for the right candidate.
