B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute
Experience : 3- 6 years
Job Description :
Preparation of basic concept, design, techno-commercial proposals for heat recovery based power plants
Preparation of basic process design and specification datasheets of process equipment post order;
Cost estimation of equipment and projects;
Planning and scheduling of proposal and post order design activities for timely submissions;
Preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement drawings;
Correspondence with equipment vendors and evaluation of vendor specifications;
Preparation of Engineering documentation and reports for a project;
Assist in the startup commissioning of the project at site, whenever required;
Knowledge & Skills required :
Should be thorough in heat and mass balance, heat transfer, thermal design calculations and fluid flow.
Knowledge of materials selection and mechanical design is desirable;
Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control required;
Should have good spoken and written communication skill for customer and vendor interaction;
Should be able to prioritize and schedule activities for effective time planning and multitasking.
Should be able to work in a team and build relationships with colleagues and superiors.
In-depth knowledge of MS-Excel and MS-Word. Programming capabilities will be desirable.
Possess a keen sense of learning and self development through self study and technical discussions.
Area of expertise :
Power plant equipment and system sizing- Small and medium size power plants
Desirable Areas : Waste heat recovery boilers and systems, Heat Recovery Steam generators, Exhaust Gas Boilers; Steam engineering; Combustion equipment and burner systems; Heat exchangers, Condensers, Reboilers, Evaporators;

Job Description :
Supervising a team of young design engineers for meeting the functional targets; Mentoring, Coaching and reviewing output of the engineers
Conceiving product and systems solutions to suit customer requirements and guiding the design engineers for the preparation of techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements;
Review of cost estimation of equipment and projects;
In charge of post order project engineering
Review of designs and documents generated by design engineers : basic process and mechanical design and specification datasheets of process equipment;
Planning and scheduling of manpower and resources for timely submissions of proposal and post order design drawings and documentation;
Approval of vendor drawings & specifications;
Assisting Head of function in MIS data collection, analysis and budgeting;
Assist in the proving project performance and solving site problems, as required;
Knowledge & Skills required :
Should be thorough in heat and mass balance, heat transfer, thermal design calculations and fluid flow.
Knowledge of materials selection and mechanical design; ASME, IBR, TEMA and other codes (Specially for Position 3)
Knowledge of instrumentation and control;
Should have good spoken and written communication skill for customer and vendor interaction;
Scheduling activities, time planning and multitasking
Should be able to work in a team and build relationships with colleagues and superiors; motivating the team and maintaining high energy levels
Excellent Computer literacy
Possess a keen sense of learning and self development through self study and technical discussions
