Area In-charge / Coach (Production) :
Objective of the role :
To effectively handle the shift manufacturing activities with high performance work culture.
Pursue continuous improvement for cost competitiveness and high quality output of product, documents, EHS and team skills.
Educational Qualification :
Diploma in chemical engineering with adequate exposure and knowledge about unit operations and unit processes along with leadership skills and safety awareness.
Experience :
Should have 5 to 7 Years experience in handling various unit operations at active pharmaceutical ingredients or chemical units and should have exposure to production area like: Process area, solvent recovery area and handling of products in clean room. Experience in automated operations and equipments will be added advantage.
Knowledge, Functional and Technical Skills required :
Record operational data such as temperatures, pressures, ingredients used, processing times, or test results in Batch Production Record.
Draw samples of products at specified stages so that analyses can be performed.
Perform the analysis of in-process sampling and make a decision on taking the process operations ahead.
Inspect equipment or units to detect leaks and malfunctions and attend immediately, and monitor operating conditions - shutting equipment down if necessary.
Measure, weigh, and mix chemical ingredients according to specific actions.
Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed and flow of liquids and gases, and times of prescribed reactions, according to knowledge of equipment and processes.
Control and operate equipment in which chemical changes or reactions take place during processing products.
Monitor gauges, recording instruments, flow meters, or products to ensure that specified conditions are maintained.
Observe safety procedures and precautions to prevent fires and explosions and other incidents. Maintain effective area housekeeping and plant hygiene.
Perform, verify and maintain all the documentation pertaining to production operations viz : BPRs, equipment log, Calibration records, SOPs. Etc.
Be a team player and communicate effectively the operations related information to SMT (Self Managed Teams) members
