2. Research Associate in Sub-Saharan African Studies (Reserved for ST)
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Sub-Saharan African Studies.

Centre for East Asian Studies
3. Research Associate (Reserved for SC)
Essential Qualifications : (i) M.A. in Social Sciences/International Studies/Chinese/Japanese/ Korean Studies; (ii) Ph.D. in Chinese/Japanese/Korean Studies; Knowledge of Chinese/Japanese/ Korean language.

Centre for International Legal Studies
4. Research Associate (Reserved for OBC)
Ph.D. in International Law/Organization. Some research experience or research support experience

Centre for South, Central, Southeast Asian and South West Pacific Studies
5. Research Associate in Russian Language (Unreserved) *
(Tenure Post upto 31.03.2012)
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Russian Language (ii) Ph.D. in the relevant field.

6. Research Associate in Chinese Language (Reserved for SC) *
(Tenure Post upto 31.03.2012)
Essential Qualification : (i) Master’s Degree in Chinese Language (ii) Ph.D. in the relevant field.

Centre for Studies in Science Policy (Unreserved)
7. Research Associate in Geographical Information System for Science and Technology Policy Studies
Essential Qualifications : (i) Good academic record with at least a high second class Master’s degree in Economics/Sociology/Geography/ Urban Studies/Statistics (ii) Ph.D. in Geography/ Economics/ Sociology or in relevant field; (iii) Diploma/degree in Geographical Information Systems from a reputed institution.

Eligibility : Research Associateships (Post Doctoral Fellows as per XIth Plan guidelines) are intended for researchers, preferably below the age of 45 years as on 1st July of the year of Award (55 years in case of women candidates), who have obtained a Doctorate degree, have published research work to their credit and have already shown evidence of independent research work.
