NOTICE INVITING APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF COACHES

Sports Authority of India (SAI), invites applications from ELIGIBLE CITIZENS OF INDIA for filling up the 100 posts (General-52, SC–16, ST–07 & OBC–25) of Coach Grade - III in the Pay Band - 2 Rs.9300-34,800/- + Grade Pay - Rs.4200/- at its various Regional Centres / Sub-Centres / Training Centres spread all over India as per details given below :-

Minimum Educational Qualification
Essential :
- Diploma in Coaching from NS NIS Patiala, SAI or from any other recognized Indian/ Foreign University.
- Participation in Olympics / Asian Games / World Championship with Certificate Course in Coaching.
Desirable :
- B.P.Ed.

APPLICATION FEE : (Non-refundable)
Candidates will have to pay along with his / her application a non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- by Demand Draft only in favour of ‘SECRETARY, SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA’ payable at New Delhi.

FEE EXEMPTION :
No fee is required to be paid by woman candidates. No fee is also required to be paid by SC/ST/Ex-servicemen. The candidates from SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories should enclose a photocopy of certificate issued by competent authority. In the absence of such proof and if no fee has been paid, the application will be rejected on the ground of “fee not paid”. No correspondence or proof sent later will be entertained.

HOW TO APPLY :
1 Candidates satisfying all the conditions of eligibility shall submit their Application in the format given in the Annexure which shall be either hand-written in bold capitals or typewritten on A-4 size paper only. The copy of the certificate in proof of age, qualification, experience, research, caste and sports participation etc., must be enclosed with the application form. The candidates can also download the application format from the websites of SAI, NIS & MYA&S, i.e., www.sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in , www.nsnis.org & www.yas.nic.in.
2 Candidates who are working in Central/ State Government/Autonomous Organizations should apply through proper channel along with a certificate of vigilance clearance from the competent authority. However, to avoid delay, an advance copy of the application form, complete in all respects, along with the requisite fee, should be submitted by the last date.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS :
Last date for receipt of application form complete in all respect together with demand draft towards application fees is 30.09.2011. Application forms, complete in all respects, with enclosures, should be sent in a closed cover with a superscription on the cover “Application for the Post of Coach Grade – III (write sports discipline)” at the following address :

All Applications must reach at the aforesaid address either by hand or by Post/ Speed Post or by Courier, on or before 30.9.2011.
In respect of applications received only by post (by post/speed post) from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad, the last date for receipt of applications is 07.10.2011 till 5 P.M. only. The benefit of extended time will be available only in respect of applications received by Post/ Speed Post from the abovementioned areas/regions. In the case of applications received by hand or through courier service, benefit of extended time will not be available regardless of the place of residence of the applicant. Candidates who are claiming the benefit of extended time should clearly indicate in Column 11 of the Application Form, the area code of the particular area or region (e.g. Assam, Meghalaya, J&K etc.) where they are residing. In case they fail to do so, the benefit of extended time will not be allowed to them.

The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters on top as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF COACH GRADE-III (write sports discipline)”.
