Title : ALCOHOL DETECTOR
Roll : As aTeam Leader.

PROJECT DETAILS :
1. Alcohol detector is an embedded system which detects the alcohol by its smell. The main aim to develop this project is to avoid the accidents caused by the drunken drivers.
2. This system consists of

1. a microcontroller(AT89C51)
2. A smoke sensor
3. A DAC(IC LM0809)
4. A DC motor driver(IC L293D)
5. A Buzzer (Siren)
6. AN LCD Display (2X16)
PROCESS :
This embedded kit will be inserted into the vehicle nearer to the driver position .When the drunken driver entered into the vehicle, sensor will detect the alcohol and produces an indication electrical signal to the DAC .DAC digitizes the signal and gives to the microcontroller. Microcontroller will take the decision and signal the DC Motor driver IC (L293D).The driver IC STOPS the vehicle movement and buzzer will indicate that alcohol is detected and the same info is displayed on the LCD.
SOFTWARES USED :
*KIEL software (embedded-c, MASM).

This is my own project that I’ve designed, coded and executed successfully in my college.
