NSL Power Limited is currently developing Wind Farms of 150 MW capacity in Karnataka, 155 MW Hydel Power Plants in Himachal Pradesh and Super Thermal Power Plants of 1500 MW capacity.

The NSL Power Limited has also plans to develop large Wind Farms in the country totaling to a capacity of 1000 MW in all the wind prone areas in the next 5 to 6 years. All these Wind Farms will be installed with the state-of-the-art Advanced Technology Megawatt Class Gearless Wind Turbine Generators with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators.

Having succeeded in renewable energy area, NSL Power Limited have drawn plans to enter into setting up Super Thermal Power Plants. Already obtained a license to set up 1500 MW capacity plant in Nagapattinam district of Tamilnadu. The project is going to be shore based, with its own captive jetty and associated coal conveyor infrastructure to transfer coal, through importing or from countryâs coal fields, directly from the ships to the coal crushers/stockyard of the plant on the shore. Simultaneously the company is in the process of acquiring coal mines in Indonesia and within the country. Challenging goals are set by the company to commission the entire capacity of 1500 MW by end of 2012.
