Managing and monitoring delinquent account collection and establishing terms of payment as well as handling Vendor Management.
Preparing MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on business operations, viz., billing, collection, credit control, profitability, etc.
Recovery Management
Conceptualizing & implementing recovery strategies in case of payment defaults.
Supervising the team for managing high value fraud cases / defaulters / insolvent clients and initiating appropriate legal actions against them.
Coordinating with the Legal officers in handling the legal activities for all products within Debt Management.
Risk Management
Allocation of cases, capacity planning, ensuring field visits, curtailing flow rates and normalization of delinquent accounts.
Devising and effectuating risk policies & managing wide risks and implementing effective mechanisms to mitigate the same.
Legal Affairs :
Identifying and initiating legal action on chronic cases.
Ensuring notices (Section 138 / Order 37 / Securatisation Act /Lok Adalat/ Arbitration Proceedings/ Liquidation proceedings) are sent as per legal policy.
Ensuring cases are filed before getting time barred.
Ensuring appropriate actions are taken on cases filed for / against the bank.
Coordinating with the Panel advocates on cases where legal recourse needs to be taken to exert more pressure on the customer.
Providing feedback on an ongoing basis on cases where legal recourse has been initiated.
Support and monitor activities of the external legal counsel
Ensuring cases are filed by the legal counsel within agreed time frame.
By tracking efficiency and effectiveness of the legal counsel on a regular basis and providing feedback.
Timely assigning / withdrawing of cases.
Planning and implementing routine visits to court and legal counsel’s office.
Provide relevant details / data to the legal counsel to ensure cases are followed up to its logical end.
Ensuring that two backup legal counsels are in place so that collections / follow up can proceed unhampered
Ensure that all procedures and controls are strictly followed
Keeping abreast of all changes/development in the legal process.
Ensuring that the legal counsel works within the given prescribed by the Bank.
By carrying out routine visits as planned.
Conducting audit checks and giving timely feedback to the legal counsel.
Repossession of Properties under SARFESI :
Taking possession of the secured assets and complete the other requisite formalities for safety and security thereof including appointment of custodian for the assets.
Upon initiation of action under SARFAESI, to remain present and take all the necessary steps for taking symbolic possession/ physical possession, filing of Application U/s. 14 of the Act, opening of bids/ conducting auction process and subsequently completing the sale registration process.
Customer Relationship Management : Enhancing customer satisfaction matrices & monitoring customer complaints. Building and maintaining healthy business relations, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
Team Management : Recruiting, training & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in collections, operations and meeting of individual & group targets. Conducting meetings for setting up objectives and designing or streamlining processes to ensure smooth functioning of collections.

Coordinating and leading a team for repossession and sale of properties under SARFAESI.
