Panel for Translators/Proof Readers for Employment News.

Applications are invited for preparing panel of translators/Proof Readers for Employment News. Applications should reach latest by 2nd august 2011 at address mentioned above by Registered Post/Speed Post.

Translators/Proof Readers :
(i)English to Hindi
(ii)English to Urdu

Qualifications :
1. Graduate from recognised university. (Essential)
2. 3 years experience of relevant work in Central Govt./ State Govt./ PSUs/ Autonomous bodies of Govt./ leading newspaper and magazines or publishing houses etc.

Professional Qualifications : Degree/Diploma in Translation

Age : Upper age no limit

Rate of Translation as approved by the M/o I&B, which is currently :
Rs. 350/- per thousand words from English to Hindi.
Rs. 450/- per thousand words (from English to Urdu)

Rate of Proof Reading

Rs. 60/- per thousand word

Application should be submited in the prescribed format to the Dy. Director (Sh. Dilbag Singh), Employment News, Publications Division, Ministry of I&B, East Block-IV, Level-5, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066.

Terms and Conditions :
1. Preference would be given to the candidates who have the experience of working in Employment News or empanelled with any of the media Units of the Ministry of I&B.
2. Inclusion in the panel does not confer any right to get work from Employment News. Employment News may decide on the basis of requirement to utilize the services of the translators/proofreaders empanelled.
3. Translators/Proofreaders will be required to furnish an undertaking that they may be willing to work for Employment News even when called for an assignment of translation/proofreading at a very short notice.
4. In case of refusal to undertake a work, the translator/proofreader is liable to be disempanelled.
5. In case of unsatisfactory performance, Employment News reserves the right to disempanel the Translators/Proofreaders.
6. Those who are serving in Central/State Govt./ Govt. Undertaking need not apply.
7. The applicants residing in Delhi/NCR will be given preference.
