Textiles Committee is a statutory body, established under an Act of Parliament in the year 1963, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Committee is engaged in various activities for promotion of quality in textile industry, which include, textiles testing services, market research studies, consultancy on implementation of Quality Management Standards and technical assistance to exporters. The HQs of the Committee is in Mumbai and in addition there are 29 offices all over the country to carry out above activities.
The Committee invites applications to fill up the following vacant post.
1.Joint Director (Lab) – Group A (1 post unreserved)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs.6600 (PB – 3)
Age limit : 40 years.
Qualification & experience :
Essential : Post – graduate degree preferably Ph.D in Physics/Chemistry or Textile Technology with bias towards Textile Laboratory Testing and Instrumentation. Desirable: At least 10 years’ experience in a position of high responsibility in a Laboratory engaged in testing. Should be conversant with the work of various items of Laboratory equipment (Physical, Chemical and Microscopical) and also the techniques and methods employed for testing and quality assessment of textiles.
2.Assistant Director (Lab) – Group A (1 post unreserved)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs.5400 (PB – 3)
Age limit : 21 – 30 years
Qualification & experience :
Essential : First or second class Master’s Degree in Physics/Chemistry. Desirable: i) Doctorate Degree ii) Research Experience in Textile Testing and Technology iii) Knowledge of Statistics
3.Assistant Director (EP & QA) – Group A (3 posts – 1 UR, 1 PH(OH), 1 OBC)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.15600 – 39100 + Rs.5400 (PB – 3)
Age limit : Not exceeding 28 years.
Qualification & experience :
Essential : i) Degree (at least high second class) in Textile Manufacture/Technology from a recognised university ii) At least 5 years experience in a position of responsibility in the production of textiles.
Desirable : i) Post-graduate Degree in Textile Manufacture Technology ii) Some experience in the standardization of specification for textiles.
4.Quality Assurance Officer (EP & QA) – Group B (8 posts – 4 OBC, 4 UR )
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.9300 – 34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2).
Age limit : Not exceeding 25 years.
Qualification and experience :
Essentials : i) Degree / Diploma (at least second class) in Textile Manufacture / Technology from a recognised university/Textile Institute Or Diploma (at least second class) in Handloom Technology from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi / Salem. ii) At least two years of experience in a position of responsibility in the production of textiles.
5.Quality Assurance Officer (Lab) – Group B (1 post reserved for ST)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.9300 – 34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2).
Age limit : 21 – 27 years.
Qualification & experience : Master’s Degree in Science or Technology. Or First or Second Class Bachelors in Science or Technology with Four years experience in textile testing and analysis. Or First or Second Class Diploma in Textile Chemistry or Technology with 6 years’ experience in Textile Testing and analysis.
6.Accountant – Group B (1 Post – 1 SC)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.9300 – 34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2).
Age limit : 25 – 30 years
Qualification & Experience : M.Com or at least second class in B.Com of a recognized university with experience of 4-5 years in accounts work in Government or Commercial concerns.
7.Field Officer – Group B (1 post reserved for OBC)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.9300 – 34800 + Rs.4200 (PB – 2).
Age limit : 22 to 28 years.
Qualification & Experience :
Essentials : (i) At least second class postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Commerce or Business Management.
Desirable : (i) Should be able to express himself in fluent manner and possesses a knack to established rapport with people for collecting information. (ii) Some experience in data collection.
8.Junior Quality Assurance Officer (Lab) – Group C (7 posts – 2 OBC and 5 UR )
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Rs.2800 (PB – 1).
Age limit : 19 – 25 years
Qualification & experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technology Or First or Second Class Diploma in Textile Chemistry or Technology with 2 years’ experience in Textile Testing and analysis.
9.Junior Investigator – Group C (1 post reserved for SC)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Rs.2800 GP (PB – 1).
Age limit : 22 to 28 years.
Qualification & Experience :
Essential : (i) At least second class graduate in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Commerce (ii) Preferably post-graduate degree in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Commerce.
Desirable : (i) The candidate should be able to express himself for collecting information (ii) Some experience in data collection.
10.Junior Statistical Assistant – Group C (1 post reserved for SC)
Pay Band + Grade Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200 + Rs.2400 GP (PB – 1).
Age limit : 20 to 25 years.
Qualification & Experience : At least second class graduate in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Commerce.
