NAME OF POST : Scientist 'C'
SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3)+ Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-.
NO. OF VACANCIES : FOUR [03 Temporary posts in the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Programme and 01 permanent post.]
(a) ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Master’s Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
(b) DESIRABLE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Doctorate Degree in Natural /Agricultural Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University.
(c) EXPERIENCE :
Experience of four years in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions and / or Science and Technology organisations.

NAME OF POST : Scientist 'F'
SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 37400-67000 (Grade Pay- Rs. 8900/-)
NO. OF VACANCIES : ONE
NATURE OF POST : Permanent
(a) ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
Master’s Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
(b) DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION :
Doctorate Degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized University.
(c) EXPERIENCE :
Experience of twelve years in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institution and / or Science and Technology organizations, out of which six years should be in managerial capacity for Science and Technology programme, planning, development and coordination.

Marker Assisted Breeding (PCR-based markers) :
1. JATROPHA :
- Hybrid conformation of Inter-specific and Intra-specific hybrids using SSR markers.
- Genetic-inter-relationship between the toxic and non-toxic lines of Jatropha curcas using molecular markers.
- Genetic diversity and molecular polymorphism study in selected lines of Gudiyarpally using molecular markers (RAPD, ISSR & SSR).
- Molecular characterization of Agrobacterium using universal primers.
2. PLANT TISSUE CULTURE :
- Development of efficient regeneration protocol of Jatropha curcas for transformation using node and leaf explants.
- Micropropagation of Jatropha curcas.
- Micropragation of Safed musli (Chlorophytum borivillianum).
- Agro bacterium mediated Transformation in Safed musli (Chlorophytum borivillianum) using callus and leaf explants.
- Colchiploidy induction in Safed musli (Chlorophytum borivillianum).
3. MICRO BIOLOGY :
- Isolation, biochemical and molecular characterization of new strain of Agrobacterium strains from different plant parts of Jatropha.
