WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

“Walk-in-Interview” will be held at Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi for one post of Research Associate (R.A.). The appointment will be on purely temporary basis up to 31.03.2012 or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier and the incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR.

Name, Number of posts & duration : Research Associate, One post, Up to 31.03.2012 or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier (likely to be continued in next Five Year Plan)

Qualifications :
Essential :
(i) M.Sc. / M.Tech./ in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Agricultural Statistics / Statistics / Applied Statistics/ Computer Application/ MCA or equivalent Master degree from a recognized university.
(ii) Two years working experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS.
Or
Ph.D. in one of the above mentioned subjects with adequate knowledge of Remote Sensing & GIS
Desirable :
(i) Working knowledge of softwares like ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, SPSS, SAS etc.
(ii) Working knowledge of Computer programming languages

Date and Time of Interview : 26 July, 2011 at 10.00 A.M.

Emoluments : Consolidated pay (i) Rs. 23000/- per month + HRA @ 30 % for the candidates having Master’s degree (ii) Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA @ 30 % for the candidates having Ph.D. degree.

Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on date of interview.
(Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates)

Interested and eligible candidates are required to appear for Walk-in-Interview on the date and time as specified above in Room No. 106, Training-Cum-Administrative Block of the Institute along with bio-data, attested copies of testimonials and one passport size photograph. Original certificates need to be produced at the time of interview. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for appearing in the interview.
