Indian Rare Earths Ltd (IREL) a Public Sector Undertaking under the Administrative control of Department of Atomic Energy leader in the area of Beach Sand Minerals like Ilmenite, Rutile, (Titanium ores), Zircon, Monazite, Sillimanite etc. and producer of Rare Earths (Lanthanides) chemicals, Thorium Nitrate etc. The Company requires proactive professionals for the following position for its unit located in Odisha :

Project work
Title : DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF MUCOADHESIVE MICROCAPSULES OF
“GLIMEPIRIDE” BY USING DIFFERENT POLYMERS
Object :
To provide an intimate contact of the dosage form with the absorbing surface
and to increase the residence time of the dosage form at the absorbing surface to prolong drug action. Though oral route is the most commonly employed route of drug administration. The bioavailability and duration of action of drugs administered by oral route are increased by use of the principle of mucoadhesion.
Work :
For this we had prepared Mucoadhesive Microcapsules of Glimepiride by using HPMC, Na CMC, MC polymers. Characteristics and drug release of these three formulations are studied and compared.
Conclusion :
From the results we had concluded that
1. Ionic gelation process was found to yield large, uniform sized spherical particles.
2. Wall thickness of the beads was found to be increased with the proportion of coating material employed in the preparation.
3. HPMC offered much slower release when compared with the other two polymers.
4. Alginate beads showed good Mucoadhesion in 0.1 N HCl when compared with phosphate buffer.
5. Thus by changing the coating material, concentration of coating material and wall thickness, the required slow release could be readily obtained.
2) Bachelor of pharmacy :
From J.N.T.U. Hyderabad at Bapatla college of Pharmacy, Bapatla, Guntur (Dist) secured 69.80% in the year of Jul/Aug-2000.
Project work on pharmaceutics :
Title : Studies on the effects of formulation adjuvants on release of NIMESULIDE
TABLETS under the guidance of Dr. K. Abbulu M. Pharm, Ph.D.
Object : Study of effect of different adjuvants i.e. binders, surfactants and diluents
in the formulation of Nimesulide Tablets by wet granulation technique and
comparison of prepared tablets with commercial brands.
Work : For this we have prepared seven formulations keeping compressional force as
constant with varying diluents and binder’s .The dissolution rates of these
seven formulations were compared.
Conclusion : We were concluded that Nimesulide Tablet formulated
with PVP as Binding agent, Lactose as diluent, soluble starch as disintegrant and SLS (2%) as inter -granular surfactant shows the excellent dissolution Characteristics among the other adjuvants used in the formulation.
