    Applications are invited in prescribed format for the following temporary posts for a period of three years. The selected candidates may be considered for appointment on a permanent basis subject to an assessment.

    Name of the post : Junior Technical Superintendent in the Department of Chemistry
    No.of posts : 2 (1 reserved for OBC & 1 UR)
    Qualifications & Experience : M.Sc. in Chemistry OR B.Sc. in Chemistry with 2 years relevant experience. Knowledge of computer applications desired.

    Name of the post : Junior Technical Superintendent in the Electrical Maint.Division
    No.of posts : 1 (reserved for SC)
    Qualifications & Experience : B.E. (Mechanical). Some experience in design, estimation, tendering and billing of new air conditioning work including central/ package/split/window airconditioning, maintenance of same airconditioners;computer applications for the air conditioning job; electrical power supply and control of air conditioners; energy efficiency of airconditioning.

    Name of the post : Sr. Library Information Assistant in the Central Library
    No.of posts : 2 (1 reserved for ST & 1 UR)
    Qualifications & Experience : Degree from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Bachelor’s degree/equivalent Diploma in Library Science of a recognised University/Institute obtained after graduation. (iii) Experience of two years in a Library/Computerisation of a Library or one year certificate in Computer application from a recognised Institution or equivalent. Candidate appointed to the post will be required to work on shift duties and on holidays, whenever necessary.

    1. Pay band : Rs.930034800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/( Total emoluments on the minimum of the pay band is Rs.26851/per month including HRA)

    2. Age limit : 32 years (relaxation as per rules)

    3. Applications with full particulars quoting advertisement No. G19 /1112 together with a Demand Draft of Rs.50/( No application fee for SC/ST/PH & Woman candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, IIT Bombay payable on SBI, Powai, Mumbai and copies of certificates/testimonials, caste (incase of OBC, latest noncreamy layer certificate is essential) etc. should reach the Registrar, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai400 076 on or before 22 nd July, 2011 .

    4. Candidates desirous to apply for more than one post should send separate application for each post quoting name of the Department.

    5. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement.

    6. Candidates should send attested copies of certificates and marksheets from matriculation onwards in support of their qualifications. Originals should not be sent along with the application but these must be produced at the time of interview.
