Job Description
1. Test manager's role is to be involved in test design and test execution following black box or white box testing, configuration management and quality management for projects in telecom domain.
2. S/he will be also involved in the definition of the related processes to ensure effectiveness and high quality of the processes as per quality standards, quality planning, audits, monitoring and analysis of metrics data to ensure compliance during execution of the projects through the software development lifecycle starting from the requirements analysis to the release of the software to customer and support thereafter.
3. S/he will get involved early for the test planning during the requirements phase for test design and later for test execution and defects analysis, categorization, reporting and discussions with the development team, management as well as with the external customers.
4. S/he will define the configuration management plan and ensure that the same is followed.

Desired Candidate Profile
5 to 7 years experience in testing, quality management including process definitions for ISO 9001 or CMMi. Experience in Configuration Management would be an added advantage. Two years software development experience would also be an added advantage.
1 to 2 years experience in software testing
2+ years experience in quality assurance
Good knowledge of test methodologies like black/white box, integration, and system testing including performance testing.
Exposure to functional test automation tools will be an added advantage
Knowledge of QC tools
Knowledge of different lifecycle models and methodologies
Knowledge of models and standards like CMMI and ISO 9001
Basic knowledge of C#, .NET, XML and SQL Server
Knowledge of Version Control tools like Subversion or VSS and build system will be an added advantage
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in Perl or other scripting languages will be an added advantage.
Experience in telecom domain will be an added advantage.

Strong in written and verbal communication
Strongly self motivated, having the ability to motivate the team with leadership skills
Good customer interface
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to negotiate with different stakeholders
Ability to train and mentor members
